I would keep Kahkonen and let all 3 battle for starter/ Backup and whoever losses is waived and either leaves to another team or gets buried in the minors.

This to me is best case scenario for the offseason!
I would go Carlsson or Smith over Michkov personally but not opposed to Michkov but the new rumor that his KHL team is blackmailing him to extent to 27/28 or they won’t let him play in 25/26 and destroy his development.

I thought about keeping all 3 and having one of them down with the Barracuda but I wanted Chrona/Mann/whoever to get as much playing time as possible. We can say that Kahkonen lost the battle to two new guys and this was the move as a result

I read that Smith goes 3 to CBJ at the moment, and I'd be very happy with either Michkov or Carlsson, but I read that Michkov has a higher ceiling so I went that route, even if he doesn't come over right away. Obviously if the KHL won't let him leave, that would be an issue.

Check out the recent rumors of blackmail plus his fathers death is super suspicious. He’s a phenomenal talent. of the top 10 prospects in 23 (excluding Bedard) he has the highest potential, but also has the highest potential to never play in the NHL given the Russian factor and the weird things going on with him and his family.

Canucks decline. I'm sure someone would have interest in Kahkonen at that price, but Vancouver doesn't have the need or cap space for him.
