Even with Bedard, I don't think we can truly be ready to hand out 6 year deals. We are still so early into our rebuild and Bertuzzi is a guy I really like, so thats saying something.

Compher, local lad. It does make sense but id think he may want more competitive hockey (playoffs), we may find that with Domi also and Stars may even look to re-sign if they have room.

I REALLY hope CHI doesn't sign Bertuzzi. Strictly based on play style, sure. But, I just don't like that guy, and for a team trying to instill a culture change, he seems like the opposite of the kinds of people they should be looking to add.

Id have to disagree, Bertuzzi is a guy who shows a lot of passion and plays a hard grit style. I know ppl don't like him because of his choices but gee it feels a little harsh.

I think he will get a longer term deal this offseason which goes against what we should and want to be doing.

It's not harsh. People that hold those kinds of ideals are dangerous and toxic to have around the locker room, especially around younger players. Also, if for no other reason than he could bring covid or any other number of disease into the locker room.

What ideals are you referencing? What makes him more likely to bring covid or any other disease into a locker room?

He is a tough nut who is a great competitor on the ice which is just the sort of guy a playoff team craves.
