Description
Haula brings the defense people want and the scoring potential with 2 great forwards to really produce. I wouldn't be upset if we made it a 1st to get him. This lineup allows for multiple line formations as well. Could easily see Guentzel on Malkin Left wing and Hornqvist up in Sids right. Either way you cut it, this is a team that is better than it was last year.

Love it. Have been saying this since the expansion draft. Already had the HBK line, next up: Triple-H! (At least until the other two leave.)

I don't know if Pouliot has much value anymore (even though he's still young) but I'd also be willing to include a 1st round pick for a cheap scoring 3C under control for three more years.

He'd be a steal, assuming he could adapt to taking more faceoffs and blocking WAY more shots than he ever has.

It's ... just one player ... The options you point out could have happened last year. Sticking Out Tongue

I always thought of Haula more of a scoring winger, but haven't seen him very much. Do you think it would take both picks?

I might steal your trade for my own. I still want Lowry and Dano out of WPG.

This could be one of the trades Rutherford has in his back pocket. I think he has a deal with Vegas for a 3C if he wants it, which is part of the 2nd round pick to take MAF in the expansion draft. He is waiting to see how the Duchene deal and other deals shake out.

If he's in the market for Duchene he's and idiot. It's far to large a cap hit for 3rd center. If they get Duchene he needs to play wing and they need to move Kessel to be able to spread the depth, but that's a sever downgrade scoring downgrade for $800k savings. Kessel played with crappy players and consistently produced more then Duchene. HBK ... that's 2 depth players and Kessel was arguably the guy who should have won the Conn Smyth.
