Tarasenko and Barby would be kinda scary on Carolina. But if you are going to play them together, might wanna put them with a passer, even better if he's got a bit of cycle mustard to him. Like Jarvis or Turbo.

Like Miller, but IMO you may have overpaid in $$$$. LHD are numerous, so I would find another cheaper and keep your picks. With the Rangers cap situation maybe even a 4.3m offer sheet which costs a second might get him.

The idea is to overpay a la Kotkaniemi to ensure that the Rangers don't have a choice. A 1st and a 3rd for a team that is likely going to finish in the playoffs is not new. They can go over the cap by the extra 10% in the summer and then find somewhere to move Goodrow to keep Miller, which is why it kind of has to be this high.

Well other players on the Canes don't worry about the picks but they do think about how they fit in the salary structure. It's more a question I have on whether Miller is worthy of 6.3.m

For 1 year? Kotkaniemi wasn't worthy of 6.3, but it got him to Raleigh and he's been a big piece of the puzzle since. The initial offer sheet isn't about finding a valuable contract because any club will match a reasonable contract. It's about getting the player. That means overpaying
