Both teams decline this offer.

Marner: 26 year old, superstar, almost cracked 100 points.

Chytil: 23 year old, one of the best Rangers role players in years, almost cracked 50 points.

Trocheck: Great top six player, 29 years old, is a bit overpaid.

The trade: It’s not completely lopsided but it doesn’t make sense for either sides. Rumours have arose that Marner could be dealt to the Rangers but not for this package. Chytil is still young player, only 23 years old, great role player and now the Ranger decide to trade him. Almost cracked 50 points while being mostly in the bottom six. He’s a stud. Just got an extension. He’s not being traded.

Trocheck can’t be moved with the massive contract. 5.6M for 7 more season while he’s already 29 years old. It’s just not movable. He’s a great middle six player but the contact just isn’t movable. Not to mention that he also has a NMC. The trade just isn’t balanced and doesn’t make sense for either teams.

Marner is a STUD. Almost it 100 points, only 26, great contract and he could be dealt but just not for this amount.

Anaheim counters with the Colorado second and Minnesota third for Murray and the Boston first.

That's not bad tbh, I'd take that easily as a Leafs fan

I mean Trocheck's contract is absolutely movable. He's a top 6 center who almost hit 60 points making 5.6 million. The issue is his NTC not his contract. But yes the issue is the rangers won't do this because it strips us of any center depth AND they still can't afford marner in this deal. Panarin needs to be in the move for marner.
