Instead of giving away assets for Murray, just buy him out. We want to use that 1st this year.

Take out Ehlers and Perfetti and retain 50% on Marner. Marner doesn't have much value to most teams at full cap hit.

Moving down 5 spots in the draft is better than buying out Murray and then having a cap hit for doing so the next 2 years

Marner is the best piece in the trade but it just makes no sense from a Jets perspective.

I find it difficult to see a team where Marner is a fit, the best place for him is in Toronto but maybe one of Carolina, Pittsburgh or Washington could be a fit Idk.
