That's a ton of money for JT. I know we have the cap space, but still seems like a few Mill too much.

I'd do that VAN trade. Hopefully they give Mitchell a better chance than we did.

Agreed, it feels like we failed Mitchell. Didn’t invest enough in trying to develop him. I have no problems overpaying a center in free agency, any one that can take some of the immediate pressure to produce offensively off of Bedard is welcome. Guess it just depends on what Compher is looking for at this stage of his career, $ or winning.

I don’t like the term on the JT deal. One year at that AAV is fine.

They're likely going to overpay, whether it's a Compher or a Domi in order to keep the term lower, and to also make sure they hit the cap floor. It also entices these players to leave teams that are Cup contenders.
