I think you're light on all your UFA signings. I like all of them, but they are undervalued.

I also wouldn't move the 14th overall to dump contracts.

Doubt JC approves the trade, but I'm sure something can be worked out. Hawks would take Granlund and want to move up in the draft. Maybe a 2nd to PIT?

Hawks fan here, I’d agree to this trade if I were in charge. I’m willing to burn however much cap if it nets us a 1st rounder where we don’t have to give up a 1st or 2nd in return.

I don’t know enough about the pens to say if it’d be worth it for you to move the 14th overall for ~$8M in cap space and a couple late picks

JC's cap hit is for one year; Granlund's is two = $13mm over two years. A lot to swallow...

I'm with you, though. I'd prolly find a way to do this deal for Chicago, to net PIT's #14 OA.
