There's a few pieces in that TK trade I would take, but overall it seems like a lot of quantity but not quality. Also, I would have to assume unless we're getting prospects who are ready to show what they have in the NHL, any draft picks will have to be in the first, and no later than mid to late teens.

In the TK trade (since it looks like PHI is ready to start a rebuild) Boucher and Thomson are ready to prove themselves at the NHL level, Lodin needs a change of scenery and could be a servicable AHL/NHL D, Gambrell is a working NHL 4th liner. Adding in the 2nd and it could be a decent return for two years of a winger with no retention.

In an ideal world we want a 2023 1st for TK. I think at minimum they would want the 2023 2nd you got from Washington in 2023 instead of the 2024 2nd but I think this deal is pretty fair. Lassi and Boucher could be huge for us

I might be in the minority, but I think this would be a respectable offer to TK. Idk if it’s the best one you could get, but I wouldn’t be upset. Would prefer to get at least a 2023 2nd instead of 2024. Phi needs another (few) pick(s) in the top 64 this year badly. Tyler Boucher belongs in Philly.
