Description
Important to read :

Monahan is brought back in case Alex Turcotte need another year in the AHL or even Juraj Slafkovsky. Training camp will determine who start and where.

Guys who don't have to go through waivers :

RHP
Slafkovsky
Turcotte
Farrell

In the NHL 2023 Entry Draft, I expect MTL to select whoever falls at #5 between those 5 : Connor Bedard, Adam Fantilli, Leo Carlsson, Will Smith & Matvei Michkov (probably in that order). I would draft the best goalie available with the 37th OA

Laval Rocket :

Farrell-Turcotte-Pitlick
Simoneau-Belzile-Roy
Heineman-Gignac-Dubé
Condotta-Mysak-Teasdale
P-Jones

Trudeau-Myers
Struble-Wideman

Trades
1.
MTL
  1. Dubois, Pierre-Luc [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
Sign & trade
MTL make sure to land a top 6 forward on their weak top 6
WPG
  1. Dvorak, Christian
  2. Kidney, Riley
  3. 2023 1st round pick (FLA)
  4. 2023 4th round pick (VGK)
  5. 2024 2nd round pick (COL)
Additional Details:
WPG accept the best offer MTL make (because the other offers from other teams doesn't top this one) (the reason other teams doesn't top that is because PLD isn't interested to sign an extension)
2.
MTL
  1. Durzi, Sean
  2. Turcotte, Alex
Additional Details:
Offensive RHD, I know we have Barron but Durzi is more ready and already effective. I think playing on his good side will help him defensively.

Alex Turcotte doesn't live up to the position he got drafted, but he is still a good prospect. LAK can't really give him a fair shot, but I think MTL could. This is a chance I personally would take
LAK
  1. Montembeault, Samuel
  2. Xhekaj, Arber
Additional Details:
I know Xhekaj is a fan favorite like Alexander Romanov was, and I can't deny what he brings to the team is unique. But IMO, Harris is way better than Xhekaj. MTL need good PK guy & Harris is one of them

I am a big believer in Cayden Primeau, so I would want him to get a fair shot in the AHL with Allen being the mentor. So LAK get a fringe starting goalie who did really good with a bad team last year and who just came up with a gold medal for Canada. Montembeault only makes 1M, which is very valuable for LA
3.
MTL
  1. Myers, Philippe
  2. 2025 2nd round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
Veteran dman for the guys in Laval
TB would make sure Edmundson is healthy to start the season, if he isn't then he sits on IR and MTL sign a veteran RHD for Laval on a 1 year deal
TBL
  1. Edmundson, Joel ($1,750,000 retained)
Additional Details:
TB land a solid vet for the 3LHD spot
By sending Myers the other way & MTL retaining half of Edmundson salary, he comes very cheap for them

WPG says... the Deal for PLD has started to improve, but probably not the best deal coming.

This isn't horrible, but... who knows.

Winnipeg is going to attempt to pivot and stay in contention, so 1cA, 1cB and rhd and goalie holes, so trading out 1cA and 1cB and goalie. Going to need to gamble and possibly try for a controversial mailoux to fill the rhd hole. Hopefully a few more moves in attempts to fill top 2 centers and top goalie of the future. Possibly some ufas to buy sometime, but would be nice to know direction soon with some key players that come back with Dubois/scheifele/helly moves.

I don't understand. You admit that Xhekaj is worse than Harris, but you expect to get a better defenseman in Durzi AND a top quality prospect in Turcotte for him?

Montreal adds in a Durzi for Xhekaj swap, not the other way around.

You are so annoying it's ridiculous how homer you are
Montembeault have a lot of value, more than Alex Turcotte
Yes Durzi is worth more than Xhekaj, but Montembeault being worth more than Turcotte balance it
Xhekaj is worse than Harris but have more value than Harris
Romanov got traded for the 13th pick in 2022, just saying
Now you can kick rocks with your pinky glasses
You are so childish

HUGHES HAS ALREADY STATED HE IS NOT TRADING montembault... primeau and allen you really want to hit rock bottom.. I think another prospect is what we dont need in turcotte and our starter goalie is staying put of course
