Might be a good idea. I don't know much about Heniola, but Robertson hasn't so much "struggled", he's being injured.

He's a pretty good still young lpuck moving D man has done very well in the AHL but hasn't been able to land an NHL job with Winnipeg's LHD log jam

Has also somewhat voiced his frustration with the lack of opportunity in Wpg and their LHD depth chart, can't blame him when they're giving Logan Stanley a full time job in the show

A few years ago I went to the celebration of life for Pierre Pilote the Norris winner, Hall of Famer. I remember him playing. In his celebration, Pierre told various stories about hockey and life.
When his family moved from Quebec to St Catherines he never spoke English. He was a left handed Dman, but the his new their wasn't really a spot for at that position. So he learned to play the right side .
66% of players are left handed. I just don't know why fans/coaches/players are so obsessed with "handiness." So what I would recommend to Heinola and other players in that situation. Work you ass off during the summer to play on the right side. Yeah, might not be as good as on your natural side, or where you played for years. But if Heinola can't break into the top 7 in the Jets, maybe he isn't NHL material.

I'd agree with that and he has played a little RD for the club, but Heinola has played pretty good actually in a limited role when he's been up, he's an excellent puck mover and his hockey iq is very good. His biggest downfall was his netfront play struggling to clear the front of the net. But he worked on it and improved pretty significantly this year in the AHL. He is kept on an incredibly short leash with the big club with turnovers and mistakes to an unfair degree compared to larger body's the Jets have gone with. The Jets also have a unique situation with having a plethora of small or non physical D with Jmo, Pionk, Demelo, Schmidt. I truly believe he could've done better than Schmidt this year and I think he really does deserve a shot somewhere
