Welcome. Your life will never be the same

Mantha deal might be the only the one thats value for each team. Washington is overpaying for both Nylander and Toews

Welcome to capfriendly!!

I doubt the caps do that Leafs trade. They don’t have any interest in moving wilson and they especially don’t want to move their first round pick. That’s also a lot to give up for Toews, but I’m not sure the Avs could afford kuznetsov without retention anyway. They’re not wildly far off in value, those two moves, but I personally don’t think they’re likely to happen. The Colorado move we’re especially overpaying

Ok. TBH, I'd rather hear that I'm overpaying than underpaying. Means it is doable. Nylander and Toews are both beasts at their specialties, figured Toronto and Colorado wouldn't give them up easily. wink

Thanks! Ignoring trade values, what do you think of the lineup in general?

Backstrom definitely shouldn’t be 1C. If I had to make a lineup out of the players you have here, it would probably look like:

Ovechkin Strome Nylander
Bunting Backstrom Tarasenko
Milano Lapierre Oshie
Protas Dowd NAK

However, Lapierre needs another year in the AHL and Suzdalev isn’t gonna be in the NHL for a while. Also, you forgot to re-sign Fehervary (go into the sign RFA tab to find all the RFAs - the ones that are owned by your team will be bolded). I think the caps are gonna look to get younger, so I don’t think Tarasenko is in the cards for them this off-season.
