Description

Ceci to ANA seems serves a purpose for both clubs

EDM adds a lower-ceiling guy of similar age that's under contract while CHI adds a genuinely top bloke with physicality and the tools to thrive with the team's youth movement (would rather keep him, but apparently his ask is too high for EDM)

Yamo for Ruhwedel opens space for Brown and adds a veteran depth RD to support the bottom-pairing

The trade down continues a pattern of restocking the cupboards with picks in a quality draft

RFAs are signed under the assumption that their team may not re-sign/qualify them (STL has Faulk, Parayko, Kessel, and Bortuzzo as rostered RD; LA has a wealth of young Fs/Cs ahead of Madden)

Biggest risk here is leaving the spot in the top-4 for Broberg. While it's definitely a risky move, the team needs to find out what they have in him this season and giving him a genuine shot at the top-4 has the potential to be a REAL cap efficiency. If he isn't up to the task, then Kulak takes over in the interim and the main deadline target becomes a top-4 RD.

If Toews decides he wants to chase another Cup, I could easily swap out Janmark for him and run a 4th line of Holloway-Toews-Entwistle which would just be *chef's kiss*.

I take the Ceci deal just fine, the question I have for Edmonton is does freeing up his cap space really do that much for you? Can you get Bouch to take that deal?
