Description
Not ideal, but Tampa does keep Killorn and Jeannot and is still able to acquire a solid 4C in Acciari and a steady 3LD in Seeler. Tampa can also likely push Killorn up to 4 or even a little higher by targeting a lower costed 4C in ufa, but the longer term gives him the ability to end his career a Bolt while also paying him as much, and likely more, than any 3 or 4 year deal would pay him elsewhere. After the loss on the Colton trade, it's more crucial now to.keep Killorn, and the trade off of having to run with 21 is easily offset by keeping Killorn.

ngl boss that's a rough d-core and a real rough bottom 6, i think you're better off letting killorn walk and spending the money elsewhere

The d-corp is fine, Seeler is an upgrade on what they have and the rest is more than fine, with Perbix and Raddysh both young but already looking solid. The bottom 6 isn't going to be much different, and the 3rd and 4th lines each have two solid guys and ABB is coming off a fantastic year in Syracuse. There's no one out there that replaces Killorn on the 2nd line in that price range either.

This looks pretty good. Not sure how deep the playoff run is, but let's find out! Nice job.

nah perbix on the top pair is not ideal imo but the bigger problem is the bottom six. abb has been trying and failing to make the jump for years, killorn might have two years left at his top level before that contract becomes worse even with the cap going up, but theres just no identity in that bottom six compared to tampa's prime

I guess you don't watch Tampa much, because Perbix had a great rookie year in Tampa's top 4. He also played with Hedman a fair amount, so it's not a problem at all. The bottom 6 is in a better spot than last year, with most of the tired and old 4th line gone and Eysskmont and Acciari now there. There will likely be some line blending early on to figure out optimal combinations as well. ABB has had very little opportunity to show whether he is really an NHLer, with 32 total games over 4 years. He had his best season yet in the AHL, and the coaching staff believed he had taken a bog step in his overall game. If not him, there are several other call ups more than ready as well. Tampa will be fine, and keeping two strong lines at the top will be key.
