I mean this would be best case scenario if every prospect pans out. I don’t think D-Petey will be NHL ready by 2024. Likely takes another year. I’d be surprised if that is our fourth line

Fun to look forward to. Need to find Hughes a partner. DPetey and Wallinder probably need more time to bake. Hopefully Hronek puts up a monster season for that contract lol

laugh $8,000,000 for Filip Hronek, Obviously you don't know him as well as we Wing fans do. He's one dimensional offensive Dman. Doubt he's even worth $6,500,000 per.

Bains and Neilsen were two of Abby's best players last year- by 24-25 they'll be kicking down the door if they don't end up being on the team by the end of 23-24. Willander is fast-tracking himself by going the US College route and D-Petey's will have two years of pro experience by then- certainly not out of the realm of possibility, even if it's not certain. Also, Truscott could be coming out of college ready to go as well- lots of internal options competing for that spot as well. 5/6D certainly shouldn't be a weak spot for us for the foreseeable future.

That’s not why the analytics say. He was elite last year. 8 mil is rich, but you aren’t signing any 25 year old top 2 defensemen for 6.5
