Description
This idea clashes with what I think Hexys plan is but I would find this roster entertaining, Kane is a big gamble I know and Read hasn't produced in forever.

For sure. Kane only has a year left.

Not willing to part with the best 3c in the NHL and our best defensive centerman + a top 18 pick for Evander Kane. All that acquisition does is take away ice time for Oskar Lindblom, Travis Konency, and Jordan Weal, while depleting our very poor PK, and moving assets.

I picked Coots as a guy to move with the idea it would clear room for the younger guys who might score more than Sean does. I realize how dumb it is because I am assuming a lot, like Kane fitting in and being happy/productive in Philly. And Lehtera, Veccionne, Patrick and Laughton stepping up quickly to fill the void. Dumping Matt Read is just something I've wanted to see for a while. Contract is the issue.

Couturier is our leading 5v5 scorer over the last 3 seasons. He just needs to be paired with guys who aren't hot garbage. Vecchione can't play PK minutes like Couturier. Laughton is a bust. Lehtera isn't part of the long term solution.
