Honestly can’t wait to see what the team looks like a couple seasons from now. I also wouldn’t mind if we end up with a lottery pick next season considering the level of talent the 2024 draft seems to hold as of right now. We’ve seen that the way this team is currently constructed that they’re not capable of getting past the 1st round.

The cup window opens in 2025 once the dead cap is off the books and all our top prospects are on the big team. We also have lots of secondary prospects and future picks to play with that Guerin could package together for game changing player. If Guerin can get Kaprizov to sign another extension in a couple of years I think they have a legitimate shot to win a cup within the next 5 years.

No doubt 2025 will be a fun looking team. Lot of talent coming in from trades/free agency plus prospects. Only pipe dream I see here is Wallstedt for $4M for 7 years. There's a zero % chance he signs for that long for that low of an AAV. Especially by the time he signs the cap will be likely another $8M higher.
