Description
How'd I do? I'm cognizant that I may have a biased view against the Nucks but I think I've accounted for it fairly well. Regarding the Garland trade, I personally value Garland more than this trade might suggest to some and certainly higher than I've seen others trade him away for, but I get the sense he's "not in the plans" and, as such, using him to add the perfect 3C strikes me as an option worthy of serious consideration.

I'm totally fine with all of it. I think this a competitive team to make the playoffs and that's their goal (at least said publicly).

Sure, if Dumba is available on a year flyer, definitely okay to part with Myers.

Unlikely JGP would be available for Garland given the Isles forward group build. Though center upgrade is needed unless they like the development of Aman or Raty made a huge leap. Blueger isn't anything more than a 4th liner imo.

I don’t think Arizona accept unles a third round pick is involved. And that team is so mid. Not enough talent to compete, but too much to tank. This team is screwed.

Comical and Ironic comment coming from an Arizona fan (see above). Should actually be playing in the AHL.

Regarding the proposal: its a bit ho hum. Doesn't real move the needle for the Nucks but might be practical. Dont think the Canucks want Josh Brown. Lots of better players in the system already, but moving CAP is probably the goal. May have to retain a bit on Myers though. Good attempt by a self professed outsider.

why are they screwed? they a few years into the rebuild and have tons of young talent (geez keller is only 24) they arent in the compete stage yet and well beyond the tank stage. On the trade makes sense for both - 4th is fine. @ TDL meyers (50%) prolly get better return than brown - as neither is long term plan for team.

I'd rather be in AZ position (lots of cap space, lots of good young talent coming up, lots of draft capital, really no bad contracts) than VAN (cap hell, not a lot of prospects or picks, some bad contracts but some real good pieces currently on roster but not enough to really compete) Benning screwed you guys up something.
