2.
VAN
  1. Brown, Joshua
Additional Details:
VAN saves cap and gets another stout defensive presence
ARI
  1. Myers, Tyler ($1,500,000 retained)
Additional Details:
ARI saves money and gets the better player (day 1 of the season)
3.
VAN
  1. Labanc, Kevin
Additional Details:
JUST A CONCEPT:

I'm not certain of the particulars on this trade, but if VAN genuinely wants to trade Garland, this would be a way to get out of the final 2 years of his deal

Not sure who would add or what because it depends so heavily on how people value Garland Vs cap space.
SJS
  1. Garland, Conor
Additional Details:
JUST A CONCEPT:

SJ is rebuilding but I think Garland would be good as both a bulwark against rushing youth (Robins, Wiesblatt, and co. need time) & as support for when they start to arrive

Not sure who would add or what because it depends so heavily on how people value Garland Vs cap space.

I could see that happening. HABS have no leverage in trading him

Feels like the team is worse off outside the DeSmith trade.

Kevin Lablanc is older than Connor Garland and Vancouver doesn't need too many forwards.
Would be better if Vancouver trades Garland to San Jose for a 2025 or 2026 draft pick?
Would anyone agree or disagree?

Honestly, I don't see Garland going anywhere. He is exactly the type of player Tocchet loves; plays a rougher side of the game along the boards. Tocchet coached him in ARI and will prefer to keep him. Plus, GM will want to get assets rather than lose them, so it is far more likely Beauvillier ends up getting traded than Gardland or Boeser. Beauvillier and a third could probably fetch a 2nd or, if we have the cap until TDL, Beauvillier on his own could get a 2nd.

I'd do that DeSmith trade in a heartbeat.

I think they have more than we think. Allen isn't a guy whose going to be picked on waivers. He or skaters can be sent down if really really needed. I don't think VAN is the only fit either. It's Kent Hughes, I trust he'd play a little hard ball and get max value. Kent's kitchen will continue to be a bit busy that's for sure
