Why the hell do the Canes even consider that offer? Canes have no need for more goaltending as is, so Helly does nothing for the Canes, and Koochie isn’t being moved either. KC is great offensively, but long term Jarvis makes a hell of a lot more sense for the Canes. And then Turbo and 2 firsts, terrible move for the Canes.

That's a comical offer. So, Carolina already have Andersen and Raanta... so take away the waiver exempt goalie they have and send them Hellebuyck! Oh and they don't like defensive problems on the wrong side of 30 who are also suspected locker room cancers... so let's give them exactly that with Schiefele! And ask for the one player that was untouchable for 9 years of Timo Meier, a far more valuable player and better fit for their system!

I don’t see Boston having adding a number 1 there. I could see a Swayman/Frederic for Scheifele deal with some retention if Hellebuck is traded.

I dont think you can get a 1c even rental for a goalie and 3rd liner, fair deal imo, maybe jets add a depth piece or mid draft pick

I don’t think you can expect more than a franchise caliber goalie talent with RFA rights and a solid third liner who is coming off a very good statistical year for a 31 year old pending free agent with rumors of being a clubhouse cancer (whether it be right or wrong).

That next contract with Schiefele presents a massive risk and probably depresses his value a lot more than Winnipeg fans want to see. Do you think he stays?
