Hawks decline. Why would a rebuilding Hawks team give up a 2nd round pick for a 4th line center?

And you trade away Jarnkrok and his $2.1m cap hit only to sign Janmark for $2.7m? That's certainly an interesting choice. Better off keeping Jarnkrok.

Why wouldn't they win the the Cup? Well you have made the team worse. Lafferty doesn't play centre well. Pavelski isn't signing for a 1m

But maybe Janmark could match his.....checks notes.......career high of 34 points on that second line! Now we're cooking!

In what alternate universe are we in where Kampf is worth a 2nd round pick? Let alone one as high as the Blackhawks pick will be.

I think Kampf could go for a 2nd. Just not to Chicago.

He's one of those players like Gaustad (who went for a 1st) that GMs feel can be a defensive plug in the the bottom 6 that make a team playoff ready. Same reason he's getting $2.5M instead of $1.5M.
