Description
2 options thus far. Kiviranta would be interesting. Holland is a huge ?, but could he be legit as a 13 forward?

I've been wanting a depth forward signing to at least add competition to the mix, so I guess I'm happy, but I was hoping for some of the other unsigned guys.

There is still a handful of "younger" forwards that can work on potential 3rd/4th roles.
Kviranta, Aston-Reese, White, Comtois, Ritche, Heinen, Motte, Puljujärvi

These options are not exciting to me at all. Holland hasn't played an NHL game in (checks notes) 5 YEARS and Kiviranta is a penalty machine that has scored 10+ points (11) exactly once (no, it does not matter that he scored a hat trick against the Avs three years ago in the playoffs). They still need better options to fill out the bottom six.

Totally agree. These are for sure headscratchers when other guys are out there. I just don't see them adding anyone of significance on PTOs or through FA unless they get desperate. At this point, the Avs have someone in mind for a trade or they're more confident than I am that two system guys step up into consistent bottom six roles. The hole at 3rd/4th RW has me most worried. They're high on Foudy and Pavel has been a daily presence at the practice rink for most of the summer, but it's wait and see. There's Kovalenko in waiting, too, but I really don't know what the expectations should be.
