Ottawa really doesn't benefit from this. Putting aside the fact that I'm just not a Wahlstrom believer, losing Brannstrom is a significant hit to what is probably the best blueline Ottawa has had since Chara/Redden/Philips days. Not only that, it doesn't even clear cap space necessary to sign Pinto, which is the whole point. It's essentially 1.1mil once you consider that Kleven has to be called up to replace him. They still need more if they want to sign Pinto and be able to carry an extra skater
