Rather Freddy stay with Potsy. Gives him some protection.

Debrusk-Zacha-Pasta
Marchy-Poitras-Freddy
JVR-Coyle-Geekie

This also cuts down on JVRs 5x5 ice time where he isn’t as effective.

Forbort is not a lock to make the team. He could be buried in Prov which would allow B’s to have a 23 man roster. Has not looked good,

I think they'll give Coyle the first nod in the top 6, no? Similar to when Krejci had his departure. I'm sure eventually Poitras will kick him down to the 3rd line but I think Coyle starts in the top 6.

I don't know if any 5/6 defensemen will sign with the B's if they bury Forbort after Reilly.

John Moore too. However…Stop giving 3rd pair guys 3m and they won’t get buried. 🤷🏻‍♂️. It’s about the cap hit, nothing more. They all would have been in the NHL on ability,

I’d be fine with Freddy-Potsy-Geekie as well. But in a 9 game look give him the tools to succeed and see what happens or don’t bother. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If an overpaid 6/7th D don't want to sign anymore, that's perfect. It will avoid some bad contracts by the management. It's easy to get a depth D on waivers so even if nobody wants to sign (which won't happen), it wouldn't be an issue.
