        Seattle would seem to be much better have Wenneberg and Schultz this season and then be cap free instead of taking on almost three seasons of 7m Carlsson. And Seattle keeps their picks.

        I was thinking that they might want a guy on the blue line who can log minutes and put up points and run a power play because it doesn’t necessarily look like they have that, but maybe they feel comfortable with the guys they do have and don’t need a designated number 1 defenseman (unless you consider Dunn to be that guy, which maybe then Carlson doesn’t make sense).
