Sutter isn't that good. Take out all the prospects and Dorsett and it might be OK for Anaheim.

I'm sorry but I'm 100% lost on how you see the value in this trade being equal. Would you mind explaining?

In my eyes Sutter is nearly $4.5m contributing only 30pts/season. Dorsett is crap and a cap dump the ducks can't afford to take on. Markus granlund shows some promise I'll admit, but the return just seems ridiculous.

In return Vatanen (in my eyes worth as much if not more than Sutter and Granlund alone) as a proven top 4 dman on a fair contract, and 3 solid D prospects who all have a decent likelihood of becoming top 4 NHL dmen.. seems like an insane overpayment for mediocre talent that will eat cap that the Ducks don't have available. Remember that Fowler gets $2.5m more next season, and Ritchie, Manson, Montour, and Kase all must be resigned after the season.

I'll give it to you that you know the Ducks based on the lines you threw together with these pieces though.

Take away the prospects, Dorsell, and retain on Sutter. Vatanen is good.
