Holloway was a 14th overall pick 3 seasons ago and is full of Size Speed and Skill. He left college after only 2 seasons and has great stats in the AHL. He just needs more time. Only way i see Edmonton moving him is attached with Campbells contract.

Jake Allen is not the answer to the oilers problems. As a habs fans, its clear that he's over-performing right now and will most likely regress toward the mean of him being a low-end starter. Sean Monahan would be a great addition for any team but EDM pushing for a cup especially. Size, 5th in the league in Faceoff %, strong two way game and ability to score, this is the type of player necessary to make this move even remotely possible.

I like to think so but oilers are scrambling right now so that pick may end up being in the 11- 20 range + Holloway is a really nice piece. Habs can buyout Campbell with the worst of it coming in at 2.6M hit for the next few years. There's also a limit as to how much a gm can pay to dump a contract he himself signed without getting himself fired and that package seems close to the ceiling.
