I wouldn't do this if I were the Bruins. He has only taken 12 faceoffs all year. Meaning he is not a centre (his faceoff percentage for his career is UNBELEIVABLY BAD). So you are giving all that for a winger.

Barzal, next to his first full year, isn't even a point per game player. He is a 60-65 pt guy. Meaning he is actually a very weak star player. I would still put him in the star category but a weak one. 9.15m cap hit is too high for him. He is more of a 7m guy. He also has only ever scored 20 goals one time. He is always high teens.

I personally would not even trade for him, because of his cap hit. I think his cap hit versus his production actually makes him a neutral value player at best. But I personal view him as a negative value asset. (I know this is going to be a huge take and I know teams would still pay for him. I just wouldn't).

I really don't think he is the centre they are looking for. Although his playmaking ability beside Pasta would be an interesting experiment.

Barzal is a true center, he’s a terrible winger.
