If I worked in that Bruins front office I would ask for Pytor Kochetkov + Martin Necas. I’d probably be willing to take Dmitry “Bobby” Orlov back with some sort of retention as well.

You think that Carolina's situation is such that they're willing to get deeply ripped off for a goalie instead of a smaller overpayment (goalies rarely get a huge trade return).

They lost to the Islanders. Also I suggested taking on Orlov’s deal if necessary.

They piled 45 shots on the Isles, successfully potted 4 goals, and still barely eked out a point in the standings. That suggests that the issue isn't the rest of the roster but rather bad goaltending. Canes are compiling the cap space necessary to make a huge goalie move at the deadline. They won't need to trade Necas or Orlov to make it happen.
