With the four goals Los Angeles has scored before the end of the second period tonight, the Kings are tied for fifth in the League in goals per game (3.5), so under no circumstance, conceivable or inconceivable, would they be interested in taking Jeff Carter off your hands.

As already stated by the other two guys, Kings have zero interest in taking cap from PIT to help them. Even if Carter was offered to the Kings for free at league minimum Kings wouldn’t take him back.

We’re stuck with Carter for the remainder of the year. I don’t even see the point in making an ACGM that includes him being moved.

With how tight to the cap teams are, even at 50% retained, Carter still may not be easy to fit for most contenders. If Dubas were able to find a contender that wanted him, that he wanted to go to, such an occurrence would probably only be possible if said team had an abundance of LTIR relief cap space.

Also, I honestly wouldn’t expect anything outside of future considerations in return for a 50% retained Carter. Maybe a 7th.
