Yeah... just throwing **** out there. Perhaps this trade would make more sense if WPG didn't go out and get Mason. Either way, this team is gonna be a mess...

You wouldn't bring in Trouba to stick him on the 3rd pair. Also I think the value for Holtby is WAY off. I mean he's a Vezina winner, and finalist, and probably one of the Top3 (if not 5) goalies in the league. No freaking way he goes for a developing defenseman, and a crappy backup. While also giving up a pick...come on...!

Also I think you're right the Caps are a mess this year and I don't expect much...but Ovi's line is 2nd line with Vrana now too...Backie with Oshie and Bura is Top Scoring line...FYI.

One more note...Jokipakka will not get a deal to stay...too many prospects need ice time to keep him around.

If they're trading Holtby, they need to get a lot more. And replacing Orpik with Jokipakka is probably a step back.
