To be fair, I think Quick would’ve signed here for free. He’s a Ranger fan since he was a kid and fulfilled a dream

Wheeler hasn’t been great tbh. He’s probably a 3rd line guy now but it forced into the top line because they don’t have any one else at the moment. Maybe it turns out to be Othmann, Kakko or someone else. Still need to see how that goes, but they need to upgrade that position imo

Gus started off great but has tailed off some the last month or so. But he’s definitely worth the little money he got.

Your point isn’t wrong tho, Drury is very good in the bargain section of free agency. Vesey is probably the best example of that, he’s lb for lb one of the better 4th line guys in the league imo. I’ve even said he should play on the first line just because no one else has really been able to keep up with Zib and Kreider

Unless Othmann lights it up, I don’t think he’ll be on this team for playoffs. Same for Edstrom

The organization already acknowledge that priority is getting othmann a full year in the AHL. Plus they’ll probably be competing for the AHL playoffs as well

Chytil is a gigantic question mark for now
