Description
If Dallas is deciding to go all in on this year, would they be open to trading for Lindholm and Hanifin? (May be dependent on M-NTC and NMC).

Would Toronto be open to a Markstrom/Woll tandem as well as Chris Tanev swap for Brodie? (Also depends on M-NTC and NTC).

Comment down below your thoughts.

Trade Lindholm (25% RS) and Hanifin (25% RS) to Dallas for Radek Faksa, Ryan Suter, Mavrik Bourque, and 1st round pick 2024

Trade Markstrom (50% RS) and Tanev to Toronto for Ilya Samsonov, TJ Brodie, and 1st round pick 2024

Zero chance Suter waives to Calgary Lindholm and Hanifin retained are worth more than Bourque and a late 1st.

That Toronto trade is pretty bad. Tanev is worth the 1st by himself. Markstrom at 50% for 2 pending UFA's is a horrible return

The leafs probably do that trade for Markstrom alone strictly from a value perspective even if they don’t necessarily need him, but the whole point of getting Tanev is to add to a D core including Brodie, not replacing our second best defensemen

laugh laugh The trade for Hanifin and Lindhol is a royal joke, Bourque Faska who's a cap dump Ryan Suter who has already stated that he won't waive for Canada and a late 1st. Sorry not going to get the job done. Both traded separately get a far better offer than that.

Leafs trade is even worse, As i don't see Craig Conroy eating 50% on Markstrom for the next 2.25 years. Plus Brodie isn't waiving for Calgary. And Samsonov is just pure garbage.

As others have stated, Suter won’t waive. I don’t think Nill would trade him either. With Dallas matching up against either Wpg, Col, or maybe Nsh, I do think a deal for a defenseman will happen. Maybe depth veteran forward as well. We (Dallas) need to be a little more tidy.
