It's a boarderline one, 2024 1st rounder could be anywhere between 16th-32nd pick. Samsonov has no term left so you can unload him in the off season, lets us get Sogaard back down to the AHL as he's reasonable back-up while Forsberg is out. 2026 1st rounder helps to offset the pick we lose due to the Dadonov trade fiasco. You never know where that pick falls... a lot can happen in 2 and a half years.

It comes down to whether or not Samsonov bounces back before the deadline and can be flipped to a team who wants depth in goaltending.
