No, not maybe . . . definitely not.
Anaheim doesn't exist to act in New Jersey's best interests; Anaheim exists to act in its own best interests.
Anaheim has a starting goaltender under contract for the next three seasons, which few teams have, and in fact at least four teams I can name don't have a decent starting goaltender right now, in the middle of this season. So there is no motivation for Anaheim to trade John Gibson unless the return benefits the Ducks significantly, i.e., leaves them better off than before trading him. Subtracting a starting goalie in order to add a distinctly less capable one and a prospect at a position where the Ducks have both quality and depth is two steps backwards, not one step forward.
This one isn't close.

Personally think this is a fair deal for both sides.
Ducks get back a starting goalie to run with Dosalt plus a 1st and prospect all while gaining some cap space? They'd take it.
"Gaining some cap space" has to be the most fatuous comment you will make this month, and there are still two weeks left in January. Anaheim has more than $16.78 million in cap space right now.
Incidentally, if Vitek Vanecek is a starting goalie, why are you trading him, and why are you trading for John Gibson?
