Chicago would be using up one of their 50 contract spots for a player they literally have no use or space for in the organization.

Current LHD with the Hawks: Vlasic, Korchinski, Phillips, Tinordi and Megan.

Current LHD with Rockford: Del Mastro, Allen, Kaiser and Roos.

If Bryson was a RHD perhaps it happens but he’s not. A 7th round pick when they are loaded with top three round picks for the next three seasons isn’t that enticing to the Hawks.
