I don’t mind about this trade.
It seems fair.

Kaliyev is bigger than Bergy.

Stevie will like that.

Makes sense to me.

Value wise it's right there but the majority of the 2 fan bases will probably want to keep their own player. Yzerman was unwilling to give up Berggren in the DeBrincat trade. Berggren could've played in Detroit this season but Yzerman wanted him playing with the other prospects in GR. Look at the players he's playing with in GR, most of them will be part of Detroit's core for years to come,

I’m honestly not too familiar with Detroit and what’s going on w their prospects. I mean I know they’re loaded and have a ton of young horses waiting to enter the race, but I’ve seen Bergger’s name thrown around a bunch and wasn’t sure what was going on. I know it’s tough trying to find quality ice time for him. Thought maybe he just needed change of scenery. Either way, he’s one hell of a talent…it’d be nice to see him on the ice. Thanks for input and not going off on me like most of these others do. Like I’m actually running the Kings or Wings lol.

The big rumor was from Pagnotta of The 4th Period. Detroit brought up Berggren just in case Kane couldn't go back in December. Kane was able to go so Berggren was sent back down. I do think he miss read the situation but Yzerman plays everything so close to the vest and isn't afraid to make a big trade so who knows.
