Description
A stab at the TDL for Buffalo. Mainly bc I'm bored and am frustrated watching this team. Before you say "NOPE" from either side of a trade just know I'm not really looking for discourse. Truth is neither of us know what or how NHL GM's value players and its all over the board. Its for entertainment purposes and mainly so I can share with my friends when we play: "this is what I would do"...so thanks in advance for not being a knob.
Trades
1.
BUF
  1. 2026 4th round pick (BOS)
BOS
  1. Olofsson, Victor ($2,375,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Boston will still have to move money around to make it work but I'd imagine they are looking for depth scoring, PP2 guy and as cheap as possible. The only reason they give a 4 is bc Buff is eating half salary
2.
LAK
  1. Comrie, Eric
  2. 2026 3rd round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
replacement for VO give him some ice time down the stretch and see what you got.
3.
PHI
  1. Krebs, Peyton
  2. 2024 3rd round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
swap of "needs a change of scenery" guys. Phi get a little younger and adds another pick. Buffalo take a chance on a guy who can replace Casey M this offseason.
4.
PIT
  1. Johnson, Erik ($1,625,000 retained)
5.
BUF
  1. Broberg, Philip
  2. Campbell, Jack ($2,000,000 retained)
EDM
  1. Greenway, Jordan ($1,000,000 retained)
  2. Jokiharju, Henri
  3. 2025 4th round pick (BUF)
Additional Details:
This is purely to take advantage of EDM cap situation. They move the JC contract but get back two younger players that can move into lineup now for EDM. Broberg part of the deal to entice BUF to take that contract.
6.
BUF
EDM
I would also move Okposo, ZG if there would be anyone to take them for lower round picks without retention.

without discussing the actual likelihood Id say most of these are good targets.

I would caution against the oilers swap though. Greenway is incredibly boring to watch, but he's very effective at the boring stuff and it pains me to admit it but the team could use a few guys like that. Im also not wild about adding campbell even retained and think broberg is crazy overrated but those are secondary points.

The Kings are considering moving Kaliyev to provide cap and roster relief for when Arvidsson returns. Why would they take on a struggling goaltender that would cost almost as much as Kaliyev's cap just to bury in the AHL?

The guys cap hit is like 120k over a minimum salary. You looking for a prospect for him?

Comrie has a $1.8M cap hit. If the Kings bury him in the AHL, $650k stays on the books.

Kaliyev's cap hit is $894k. If the Kings do this trade, they gain less than $250k in cap space.

I'm not commenting on trade value here per the OPs comments in the description, but the Kings would be better off just putting Kaliyev on waivers than making this trade.

That’s fair, I would think you could get a second round pick for him. I assume he is RFA eligible next year and would expect a decent payday
