That's not enough for 50% retention for 3 years. CGY will want to retool and they already have somewhat cap issues. Can't have 3mil hanging around that long

What?

>Holtz: maybe you care a little bit, but even without him, NJD has some of the strongest top 9 depth in the league. I'm sure they can get a rental elsewhere for this year and then look in free agency or replace from within next year.

2 unneeded parts and a 3rd line winger (right now, I'm sure he will be better later, maybe) to replace your biggest issue this year is a slam dunk. Only problem is CGY says no for 3 years retention.
