Description
Deals depending on what Seeler and Walker are willing to resign for. I know other GMs value Seeler a lot more than I do but he's a 30 year old D man, I think he's probably looking for around Luke Schenn's $2.75x3, maybe $2.5x4 but I bet there is someone out there who would go $3-$4M with the same term so if Seeler won't sign $2.5M for a few years (target 2 settle for 3) I would trade him. His peak value for the right playoff team is prob an early 2nd round pick.
Walker could stay and be the 3rd RD with Drysdale and Ristolainen but they do have Attard and Grans coming up within the next year or two so I would think they would want Walker at a short 2-3 year deal. I wouldn't want to sign him at 29 to a 5 year contract and I think he could get that on the open market at an upgrade from his $2.65M current contract, teams may be willing to pay him around $4M, a little more than Soucy or Holl got which was about $3.5x3. If Walker won't sign $3.5M for a few years (target 2 settle for 3) I would trade him. His peak value for the right playoff team is prob similar to Seeler's at an early 2nd round pick.

I wouldn't resign either player but I think that's the pricing Briere should stick to. PHI has 2x 1st and 2x 2nd round picks in '24 so I would be looking for picks in '25 or '26 as future capital to draft or trade.

Suitors for Seeler and Walker:
EDM for one maybe both
DAL more likely one than both, Would love to get Dellandrea, Bourque, or Bichsel in the return but I don't see that happening
WIN more likely one than both, but someone would likely have to move out on D, guessing Stanley
TB Sergachev insurance so one maybe both
TOR but I don't think they will have the best offer
MIN is a possibility if they think they can make the wild card but I don't see them giving up a lot in return
FL more likely one than both but someone would likely have to move out on D
Trades
1.
PHI
  1. Barrie, Tyson
Additional Details:
Barrie has been a consistent healthy scratch so I think they would take anything maybe a 7th at this point but I could be wrong and PHI doesn't need NSH to retain.
NSH
  1. 2024 6th round pick (PHI)
Additional Details:
If Drysdale is done for the year, Barrie at least can play pp and fill in for the rest of the season without giving up much assets. Pure rental
2.
PHI
  1. Ceci, Cody
  2. 2025 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Not sure Holland would trade next years 1st but PHI wants picks in the future. This is assuming Holland values getting Ceci off the books next year and adding cap space this deadline to do something else with.
EDM
  1. Walker, Sean ($1,325,000 retained)
3.
PHI
  1. 2025 2nd round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
Not a Sergachev replacement like Hanafin would be but this would be a way to get a physical LD without giving up a 1st.
TBL
  1. Seeler, Nick
Additional Details:
The 2nd might be a bit of a reach but I would guess they value their AHL prospects more than future picks so Finley or Goncalves are not as likely accepted.
4.
PHI
  1. 2024 4th round pick (LAK)
LAK
Can be any team. Use 3rd retain spot at 50% for any deal, maybe Henrique or Guentzel, Tanev, etc. MIN did a few of these in past years and I feel like a 4th is standard.

NSH takes that, but TBH if any team was willing to take Barrie without any retained salary, he probably would have been traded already.

Tampa probabaly accepts if they don't get Hanifin or Walker(who I think may be their top target from Philly). They'd probably try for Seeler for a 3rd+something, but he'd definitely be of help and could likely be re-signed.

The thought here is that Drysdale just got injured and not sure how long it will be but there is a good chance he is out for the season and if that is the case they would want someone for the last 15 games or so. Might even be a future consideration territory for the trade.
