IMO CGY is realizing the market isn't as big as they thought for Hanifin... really the only teams that make sense for Hanifin are: Tampa Bay, Boston, and New Jersey.

Tampa: Doesn't have a lot of assets to give up and has to make space for an extension next year when Sergachev is off LTIR.
Boston: Makes sense fit wise and need. Has cap space and prospects. Lacks draft picks.
New Jersey: Has bigger priorities than LD.

Any team that trades for him is going to want an extension in place and he has an M-NTC so he can somewhat influence where he ends up.

My gut: He ends up in Boston - don't think New Jersey needs him and Boston can beat any offer Tampa puts on the table.
