The term on four on UFA signings....really nonsensical to take players into their mid or late thirties years of age. Just no value, most of the time.

I think he is going with term to keep them. Domi is overpayed imo. Take 500k from Domi, give it to Bert and extend both for 5 or 6years maybe.

Why would SJS have a 2nd and 4th for a player that you can’t keep? Robertson isn’t waiver exempt next year, so the leafs have to keep him at the NHL level. He doesn’t clear waivers to move back to the AHL.

Can the leaf use a roster spot on him all year? Not likely. The leafs should call MG and try for a 2nd knowing they will are praying for Tampa’s 3rd owned by SJS.
