Description
- In my opinion, the Bruins should try to make the tandem work. if they get through one more year, Ullmark can take a pay cut to stay here even longer. I feel like if they were to cut ties it would throw off Swayman's game significantly. However if he goes, I'd rather them sign a veteran backup then to ride with Bussi.
- Zadorov fills a void on the back end that was left open by the likes of Chara, McQuaid, and Miller as a physical force to be reckoned with and can/will beat the piss out of any player on the ice.
- Lindholm is obviously a top target and has been but Stephenson would be cheaper and has been able to produced in the playoffs on multiple occasions. Roslovic is another center I'd target because he's younger than most players available this summer.
- If Merkulov and Lysell don't make progress either flip them for picks or sign a low risk FA (i.e JVR). Zadina comes to mind as long as he drops to UFA.

It maybe just me but this Trade Deadline feels like a wasted opportunity for them. There was a lot of players that could've made a huge impact that went for close to nothing. Wennberg, Roslovic, Duclair, Toffoli, Edmunsson, and even Hanifan are guys that Bruins could've scraped together a package just as good for. 2024-25 is the year.

Honestly I think they’re 99% going to move Ullmark. Clear that 5M and give Bussi the backup role.

Sign Elias Lindholm. Need that Center. And maybe look into Hanifin. Don’t need Zadorov, they invested almost 3M into Peeke. A big horse.

Sign some good wingers. Maybe resign DeBrusk if he can take 5M Aav. Otherwise go after Bertuzzi at 4M. Call up Lysell .Resign Heinen for insurance.

Marchand Coyle Bertuzzi (4X4)
Lysell Lindholm Pastrnak
Zacha Poitras Frederic
Heinen Beecher Geekie

Lohrei McAvoy
Lindholm Carlo
Grzelcyck Peeke

Swayman
Bussi

Bertuzzi : 4x4
Swayman 7x6.75
Heinen 2x1.4
Lindholm : 7x7.5
Grzelcyck : 1x1.5

I don't hate the idea of signing Stephenson. I think this team can remain competitive signing a stable of 2Cs at lower AAV, fortifying the D/wings, and trying to draft and develop that 1C over time. I don't think E. Lindholm is an elite 1C, so this team should not get sucked into paying him like one. Of course, I'd take E. Lindholm and 7m over Stephenson at 6m, but I think Lindholm will get more on the open market than that.

I'd probably pass on Zadina and Zadorov though. I'd keep Heinen and sign a puck-moving LD to compete with Wotherspoon for 6LD instead.

1. Would it be more prudent to sign a wing if you are trying to sign Stephenson to be your center after this year? I’d rather resign DeBrusk than bring in Stephenson unless he comes at a discount

2. No to Zadorov. We picked up our physical RD. Curious to see if they resign Grz or bring in OEL on a one year contract
