Is that a joke? Larsson is a Top 4 Defenseman. Every time a proposal with a top-4 Ducks D comes up (Vatanen), Colorado fans whine. I think Larsson + Ritchie/Jones should be fine.

I tend to agree that the Ducks wouldn't be adding one of our roster top 4 D to that proposal. Vatanen+Larsson+Cogs is far to much and Vatanen is probably the least valuable of the 5 top 4 guys we have at this point considering style, and contract and age. Note I am referring to value, net necessarily skill. The Idea of Larsson+Ritchie+ a pick I think is in the ball park. Larsson is the best fit for Col as well. Apparently they want shooters as well and Ritchie is a shooter. The biggest issue for the Ducks is Cap space in a futures deal. With all the injuries we have gotten the Ducks have been holding a roster of around 27 players. This has prevented us from accruing cap space for the deadline so far as well using the cap space we had. The Ducks have already lost roughly 500k in accrued cap space that could have been used to add a player.
