I know that you guys are desperate to get rid of 1/3PPG Jesperi Kotkaniemi, but Ryan Strome fits our roster better -- he plays RW and he can slide up and down the lineup, whereas JK is only a third-line center particularly in light of our possession of Leo Carlsson, Mason McTavish and Cutter Gauthier (Trevor Zegras is moving to the wing).

Cutter is going to the wing too, every indication is he wants to play wing at the NHL level.

I don't strictly hate the idea, but Kots is paid way too richly to be a 3rd line center. The question ultimately is, is he good enough of a 3C to justify being paid anywhere near that much?

I mentioned Cutter to forestall the objection that "What if one of them gets injured? JK can step up temporarily."

I agree with you completely (surprise), I'd rather have Isac Lundestrom at less than half the price at #3C.
