Kings should strongly consider that deal with Chychrun. The deal itself seems fair.
But here comes the Problem: After next season the $5,875,000 deal with Gavrikov is expiring and I see both sides to look for a new deal at a comparable amount. Then, the Kings have Mikey Anderson signed for $4,125,000 for the next 7 years. He is going to stay, because this contract is a steal and he is a very important piece.
The question is: is it realistic to keep all three: Anderson, Gavrikov and then Chychrun? Chychrun definitely is going to ask for a significant rise, that the Kings could only give him, if they move on from Gavrikov, which would be a tough loss for the Kings, because he is a great guy and providing the spirit in the locker room.
I only see the Kings considering Chychrun, if they are deciding not to keep Gavrikov and he agrees for a move as he has a NMC. I am pretty sure the Kings are not on the 10 team no trade list of Chychrun because it was very close to a move to LA last year.
Reminds me about the 2023 Trade deadline. All the rumors said that Chychrun is going to LA and then the Kings traded for Gavrikov and Korpisalo and traded away Jonathan Quick...
