Description
My last post here (May 2023) was about absolute need to trade Marner before his NMC kicked in. It did, and now there's no trade that brings back anything but parts. So... I say hold him. Strip the A / leadership responsibilities, see how it goes under a new coach, and let him come back at a number in line with his actual abilities (something no one can match on a 7 year contract).

Does that, plus Tavares extended on a hometown vet contract, create enough cap flexibility to actually contended? I think so! But you be the judge.

Note: I'm not into Chychrum and Lindholm specifically as much as I am about more talent in top 6, on top pair. The goal here is to see IF they can adored it. Sub in your preferred UFAs.

I don't think spending 5 million on a 3C is a good idea, considering that the defence still looks very weak.
Hard to say what his actual contract will look like, but I'm also pretty certain Knies will command more money. Heck, I'd give him more than that if he signed today.

Yeah... I don't love what I came up with for Tavares.

I didn't do a deep dive in comparables for Knies. A bit of a c. 2018 bridge deal to that one
