Description
As Athletic reported there is real consideration of a PK88 return to Chicago. I don't see that happening, but this assumes they would resign Kane. The Athletic was simply stating that they believe that it has or will come up within the walls of Hawks office and from there, no idea. I do think there is a possibility.

The reality is, Kane, his wife (gf really), and kid are living in their extensively remodeled Lake Forest house right now that they purchase less than 2 years ago and spent a year remodeling. It seems they plan to plant their roots there long term. The kind of house, at the price-point, and the amount of money they put into it, doesn't seem like a flip type of property and even if they were going to flip it, you would think they would have done that post construction while being brand new last fall. So my theory is, he's planning to raise his family there. Now does that translate to him playing in Chicago next season? No, but I do think he will return to the Hawks prior to retiring or at a minimum, as part of the Blackhawks organization post retirement.

I agree. I said so as much in the start of the build that i don't think he will, but figured i would run down the rabbit hole of how one might build a team based on his return. I personally like Stephenson more than Monahan, but if you bring back Kane you probably want a larger bodied center to create space for Kane compared to Stephenson.

I like Kulikov signing! I had an ACGM with him in it the other day, but ended up deleting it. I think Blueger would be a safe bet, too. I definitely would be on board with bringing Kane back, but I'm not gonna hold my breath, either. Carrier would be a nice pickup, and on a 2 year deal, I don't mind Monahan.
