I think Leafs should go for it this and next year before Matthews and Marner extension.

Their depth allows they can give 2 1st RD picks for one of best defenseman.

At least try....I really want to see them go for it this year

Sorry, but if you want to have arguably the best d-man in the world, it's gonna cost you a lot more than two players who hasn't never played in NHL and three late draft picks.

looks good for this year. but try with the bonus performance carryover into next it's a difficult cap when other players have to sign. couldn't the Leafs just wait another year and one half and see how there roster shakes out.

You would definitely have to include Nylander or Marner. plus a lot more

Definitely much much more than that. Karlsson plays half the game and is the best defenseman in the world

I think you're overvaluing Karlsson. Roman Polak and a 6th rd pick should do the job
