Agree with you to an extent. I think they should trade Neal and Perron but work on extending Miller and Marchessault. They still need to make the playoffs to generate revenue and keep the fans interested. Plus I've heard rumors from Elliotte Friedman that VGK for their first 3 yrs 1st rd pick will have lottery odds... only heard it from him so not sure if it's valid. If true, no reason to sell and tank. I do think Neal will have too high of a demand for them not to sell him though.

Building the Knights to a cup contender is gonna be at least 5 years and that's assuming everything goes perfectly and they get some good luck. I don't see those guys wanting to stay, they'd be past their primes at that point.

While that was discussed at one point, it didn't end up as part of the final expansion package. They'll have the odds of where they actually finish for the lotto.
